Benefits (Fadl) of Wudhu - Lesson 4

Siwaak
** (The Siwaak which is sometimes called the 'Miswak' is a cleaning tool taken from the Arak tree.)

Abi Huraira (recorded in Ahmed/Maalik) that the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said:

"If it wasn't to cause difficulty to my nation I would have ordered them to use the Siwaak for every ablution."
[Saheeh Al-Jaami' (5319), Sheikh Albaani رحمه الله said it is saheeh].

Imaam Nawai mentions in Saheeh Muslim that, “the siwaak is Sunnah (Mustahab: Highly recommended) and Not Waajib.”

Benefits of Siwaak - (Muslim)

Take care of your share of the Hereafter & you will win your full share of this life

One of the Salaf said,

“O son of Aadam! You need your share in this life, but need your share in the Hereafter even more. If you took care of your share in this life, then you will lose your share in the Hereafter and are soon bound to lose your share in this life too. If you took care of your share in the Hereafter, you will also win your full share in this life with ease.”
