Dammaj, the aftermath .... our last moments (1)

"Verily, with the hardship, there is relief ..."
It was Saturday, 10th Rabi-ul-awwal (11th Jan. 2014), our Yemeni neighbours pounded on our door screaming for my husband.... I could sense the urgency in their voices! In no time the news reached my ear... "We have to leave Dammaj in 4 (F-O-U-R days)!"  We were stunned and dismayed by the news...! Not only did we endure a ruthless, coldblooded war and siege by the Rawâfidh for 93 days (3months) but now we have to leave Dammaj (lock, stock and barrel) at such short notice! It was like our nest which we had so carefully and tirelessly built was disintegrating! I can't put into words what we felt and went through when this news was officially confirmed. The duaa of Umm Salamahرضي الله عنها  was the first thing that came to my mind:

  إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
‘To Allaah we belong and unto Him is our return.'
(Al-Baqarah 2:156)
"O Allaah, reward me for my affliction & replace it for me with something  better."

After three months of bloody war, the Rawâfidh (Houthies) and those cooperating with them, had changed their strategy with regards to Dammaj. They could not enter through the front door, so they entered through the rear. By Allaah we are being oppressed unjustly!! He سُبحانه وتعالى is a witness to their evil plot.

When will the HELP of Allaah come?? (Part 5)

(حسن الظن بالله)
Having Good Thoughts of Allaah!

Today marks nearly two & a half months into this inhumane terrorism upon us in Dammaj waged by the Râfidah. we are all feeling the effects of this brutal war. May Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى preserve our noble brothers who have answered the call of Jihâd! They are fighting the enemies of Allaah day and night during these cold, winter months, sacrificing their lives to uphold the Deen of Allaah عز وجل and defend the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم.

Our Lord! Pour forth on them patience, make their feet firm & grant us victory over your enemies (the revilers of the companions of your messenger صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّمYou are the BEST of all Helpers!

Food and medicines are running out!  Day by day, the death toll and injured are on the rise. Amidst the pain and trauma we are all holding strong with the aid and Rahma of Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى. Alhamdulillaah! It is indeed important during these trying times to have (حسن الظن بالله) i.e. To Have Good Thoughts of Allaah!. Allaah has allowed this to happen. We lesser mortals don't understand the wisdom behind this. We don't have the right to question Allaah (His Qadr), the Lord of the Aalameen.

He سُبحانه وتعالى is the MOST Merciful. He is Ar-Rahmaan, Ar-Raheem. If He is nurturing all of creation including the ungrateful Kuffar, then how much Mercy He عز وجل will have toward his believing servants who are ready to spill their blood for the Face of their Lord, Almighty; those who have left their loved ones, wealth & the comfort of their homelands, to seek ilm & implement it? Allaah is 'Aadil' (The Just)! He is NEVER UNJUST!
Think not BAD of Allaah!!

Read the transcript of the beneficial Khutba "Having good thoughts of Allaah" at the end of the article.

Extract from the Khutba:
O Believer, Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى will never make your affairs difficult as long as you have good thoughts about Him, regardless of whether you are in good health or ill, or in poverty or wealth, in your country or elsewhere, or any condition/circumstance that you might be in. Holding onto good thoughts of Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى is from the means of receiving ease from calamities and hardships. As for the one who holds an evil thought about Allaah, then he is destroyed. It is authentically reported on the authority of Jaabir in Saheeh Muslim that the Prophet  صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّمsaid:

لا يموتن أحدكم إلا وهو يحسن الظن بالله عز و جل

Let none of you die unless he keeps good thoughts (i.e. he has good expectations from Allaah.)”

May Heعز وجل  take all our souls having GOOD THOUGHTS about Him سُبحانه وتعالى, Ameen.

When will the HELP of Allaah come?? (Part 4b)

... A Soldier of Allaah, my little warrior, my son...

This is the follow up to the earlier post about my son. Every time he leaves the house in the Path of Allaah, I take inspiration from the last conversation Abdullah Ibn Zubair رضي اللّه عنـه had with his dear mother Asma Bint Abu Bakr رضي الله عنها before he left for Jihâd..

‘He Abdullah Ibn Zubair رضي الله عنه went to his mother (Asma bint Abi Bakr رضي الله عنها), who was over 100 years old and was blind. When he entered the room, he gave her salams and she رضي الله عنها replied.
She then asked him, “Where did the men of al-Hajjaj reach?”

He رضي اللّه عنـه said, “O’ my mother in death, I will find peace and tranquility. O’ my mother! All my companions have left me until my own family and children have left my side and I only have a handful of people around me. And the people are ready to give me whatever I want form this Dunya. What is your opinion my mother?”

She رضي الله عنها said, “O’ my son! You are more knowledgeable regarding your circumstances than me. But I do say, if you know that you are on the truth, and then die like your companions and if you want the Dunya, then you are the most wretched of people because you have wasted yourself and your companions. And how long are you going to live in this Dunya?” Then she  continued, “If you say that you are on the truth, but when your companions left you, you became weak. This is not the action of the free man and the people of Deen! And how long are you going to live in this Dunya?”

He رضي اللّه عنـه said, “O’ my mother, I’m scared that if they kill me, then they will mutilate my body and they will hang me up.”

She رضي الله عنها said, “O’ my son! A slaughtered goat doesn’t feel the pain when it is skinned!”

And when she said this, he رضي اللّه عنـه stood up and kissed her upon her forehead and he said, “I swear by Allah, this is my opinion! I have no desire to live in this Dunya for my aspiration is the life of the hereafter and all my life I have stood up for truth but I wanted to know is your opinion so that your opinion strengthens my opinion!”

And then his motherرضي الله عنها  said, “Come closer my son!”
When رضي اللّه عنـه  he  came closer to her, she embraced him and when she did so, she felt that he had some metal armour on. And she رضي الله عنها said, “O’ my son! What is this? For people who want Shahaadah don’t wear this!”

He رضي اللّه عنـه said, “O’ my mother! I only did this to comfort you!”

She رضي الله عنها said, “My son, take it off.” Then she said, “O’ my son! Tie your belt so when you fall, your ‘awrah is not exposed! O’ My son! Fight with bravery for you are the son of Zubayr and the grandson of Abu Bakr and your grandmother was Safiyyah.”

When will the HELP of Allaah come?? (Part 4a)

Barraqah, overlooking the fields of Dammaj

... A Soldier of Allaah, my little warrior, my son...

It is 7 pm at night I am typing this under candle light after sending my son to answer the call of Jihâd declared by the Ulema of Ahlul-Sunnah.. It is not easy for me as a mother sending him out to the front lines, but I have to remind myself that even he, being my son does not belong to me. He is only a 'loan' from Allaah and I have to fulfill my responsibility by my Lord by aiding him to march forth and strive hard with his life in the Cause of Allaah. No matter how grown up he may be, to me he is still my little warrior... a soldier of Allaah... who I hold close to my heart...!

I bring to mind the covenant of Allaah, pushing aside my emotions: 'Who is Truer to his covenant than Allaah when He عزوجل says:

"Verily Allah has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties for (the price) that theirs shall be the JANNAH. They fight in Allaah's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed..."
(at-Tauba 9:111)

I thank Allaah the Most Merciful for this opportunity of being here in Dammaj during these times to send out my son to a trade that will save him from a painful torment, bi'ithnillaahi. How will Allaah treat those who die fighting His enemies? How will they be received by the Lord of the A'alameen? They will be treated with nothing but the BEST as they are in the service of Allaah, سُبحانه وتعالى.
