Supplication of Shaykh Muqbil’s Mother

In her biographical account of her father, Umm ‘Abdillaah Al-Waadi’iyyah said:

His father died while he was young and he didn’t know him. So he grew up as an orphan and under the care of his mother for a period of time. She would ask him to work to make money and order him to look at the state of his community so that he could be like them. But he would turn away from this and say: I will go out to study.’ So she would say: May Allaah guide you.’ (hadaakAllaah)She would supplicate for him to be guided, as several women who were around at that time informed me. Perhaps her supplication coincided with the time when supplications are accepted since he became one of the guided, guiding others.”

Those Entitled to Receive Zakaah

Imaam Muhammad bin Saalih Al-'Uthaimeen

The categories of people entitled for Zakaah as mentioned in the Noble Qur'aan:

The charity (Zakaah) is only for the poor, the needy, those employed to collect (the Zakaah), those whose hearts will be inclined (towards Islaam, by giving them Zakaah), for slaves, for those in debt, for (Jihaad in) the Cause of Allaah, & for the wayfarer (i.e. destitute traveler). It is an obligation imposed by Allaah, & Allaah is the All-Knower, the All-Wise.

Sheikh Ibn Baaz's advice at the Advent of Ramadhan

This is what is obligatory upon all the Muslims and their rulers. It is an obligation upon the rulers of the Muslims, the scholars and the general folk...

Question) Noble scholar, what is your advice to Muslims as we prepare to receive this virtuous month?

Answer: My advice to all the Muslims is to have Taqwaa (fear) of Allaah the Majestic, to receive this great month of theirs with a truthful Tawbah from all sins, to gain understanding of their religion, and study the rulings of fasting and the night prayer due to the saying of the Prophetصلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم:

"Whoever Allaah wants good for, he grants him understanding in the religion."

Also due to the saying of the Prophet
"When the month of Ramadhan arrives, the gates of Jannah are opened and the gates of the Fire are shut, and the Shayateen are chained up."

Also the saying of the Prophet

"On the first night of Ramadhan the gates of Jahannam are shut, the gates of Jannah are opened, and the Shayateen are chained up, and a caller calls out:

Ramadhan The Month of Taqwa

 A MUST READ ...

  By Brother Musa Millington (Hafidahullaah)

After praising Allaah: Oh Muslims, verily we are in a blessed month. A month in which the Qur'aan was sent, a month in which there is a night better than 1,000 months. A month in which Allaah سُبحانه وتعلى frees souls from the Hellfire. A month in which the Shayateen have been chained, the doors of Jannah have been opened and the doors of Jahannam have been closed. The one who fasts in it and stands in it has his previous sins forgiven.

By Allaah this month is a great opportunity for us to come closer to our Lord. And know that this month was not legislated except to gain Taqwa. Allaah
سُبحانه وتعلى  said:

"Oh ye who believe fasting has been prescribed upon you like it has been prescribed unto those before you so that you may fear Allaah."

Oh Muslims! Oh believers, you left off your food, your drink & your desires in order to gain Taqwa. And Taqwa is to do what Allaah سُبحانه وتعلى  has told us & to stay away from what he has prohibited us from upon knowledge, wanting reward from Allaah سُبحانه وتعلى & fearing His punishment. And it is to bring between yourself & the punishment of Allaah سُبحانه وتعلى  a veil or a covering.

From this we know that Taqwa is the most precious commodity of the Muslim. For it is the best of clothing that we carry upon our bodies. Allaah
سُبحانه وتعلى  has said:
"And the clothing of Taqwa this is best."
And also Taqwa is the best of travelling equipment. Allaah سُبحانه وتعلى  has said:
"And take travelling equipment with you for the best of this is Taqwa."
And Taqwa is the reason to worship Allaah سُبحانه وتعلى  alone. Allaah has said:
"Oh mankind worship your Lord who created you & those before you so that you may fear him."

Beneficial excerpts from Kitaab As-Siyaam - Abu Fajr AbdulFattaah bin Uthman

Animated wallpaper, screensaver 240x320 for cellphone

Siyaam, its origin in the Arabic language is 'Imsaak, abstention'.

In the legislation it means abstention from eating with intention from the rising of the sun until the setting of the sun. Fasting in the month of Ramadhan is the fourth pillar of the pillars of Islaam. And fasting is from the most superior forms of 'Ibaadah, from that which it combines of the three types of patience:-

1-Patience upon obedience to Allaah
2-Patience in abstaining from the disobedience to Allaah
3-Patience upon the Ordainment of Allaah

Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى  ascribes fasting to Himself and Allaah promised reward upon it from Himself the Most High due to it being a secret between the worshiper and his Lord it is from the greatest trusts.

What is important is in 'what condition you will die!'

By Sheikh Uthaimeen
"O mankind, have Taqwa of Allaah the Exalted and prepare for the meeting with your Lord, with the preparation of the righteous. Verily the state of man is as his Lord the Exalted said:

يَا أَيُّهَاالْإِنسَانُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَى رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَاقِيهِ
"O man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet Him."
 (Soorah Al Inshiqaq 84:6)

O Muslims, verily the person does not know where he will die. And he does not know when he will die. As Allaah the Exalted said:

 وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ
"No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die. Verily, Allaah is All-Knower, All-Aware (of things)."
(Soorah Luqman 31: 34)

If we don’t know what we will earn tomorrow while this is from our actions, then surely we do not know when we will die as this is from the actions of Allaah the Exalted. Since we do not know in what land we will die, despite the fact that the person travels to the land by choice, and since we do not know when we will die, therefore the place of death is unknown and the time of death is unknown. We ask Allaah to grant us and you and good ending.

It is not importance when the person will die or where the person will die. It is not important that he dies in Mecca or in Medina or another place from the lands of Allaah. It is not important that he dies on Friday, or Monday or any other day of the week. The only thing which is important is in what condition the person will die. This is what is important. In what condition will the person die? Will you die upon Imaan (faith), sincerity, and Tawheed? We ask Allaah to grant this to all of us. Or will you die upon doubt, shirk, kufr and obstinacy and ingratitude? This is what is important; this is what is important, O Muslims. But whoever wants to die upon good then let him do good. For SURELY Allaah the Exalted is too Generous and too Kind to abandon His slave during the time of difficulty if he used to know and acknowledge Allaah in times of ease.
