GREAT Benefits of حُسْنُ الخُلُق (Good character)!

The Prophet  صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم mentioned the great benefits of  حُسْنُ الخُلُق  'Husnul Khuluq' (good character). This is an encouragement for us all to strive to achieve this.

Abu Darda  رضي اللّه عنـه narrated that the Prophet  صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said:
‏ مَا شَيْءٌ أَثْقَلُ فِي مِيزَانِ الْمُؤْمِنِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ خُلُقٍ حَسَنٍ

"There is nothing more heavier on the believer's Scale on the Day of Judgment than good character."
(Tirmidhi)

This is a very HEAVY statement: The heaviest thing on the scale of the believer is حُسْنُ الخُلُق, good character,  shows our understanding of the Deen, our awareness of Allaah, our awareness of our brothers & sisters in Islaam ... it consists of so many things.

ANGER is one of the ways Shaitaan enters the hearts of man. Do we understand from this that one should never get angry?

No, this is incorrect understanding.

Keep away from everything which causes regret...

Sheikh Uthaimeen رحمه الله  said:

Indeed the Legislation orders us to keep away from everything which causes regret..."

Allaahسُبحانه وتعالى  said:

Secret counsels (conspiracies) are only from Satan, in order that he may cause grief to the believers. But he cannot harm them in the least, except as Allaah permits.”
[Mujaadilah 58:10]

And Allaahسُبحانه وتعالى  only told us this so that we keep away from it, it was not merely a piece of information telling us that the Devil wants to cause us grief, no, what is meant is that we keep away from everything which causes grief.

Those who used to stay awake at night have gone away...

Imaam Ibn al Jawzi رحمه الله :

"How excellent are the people who have abandoned sweet dreams, withdrawing from that for which they erected their feet for. Standing up to fatigue, themselves in the dark, seeking a portion of the blessing. When the night comes they stand up, and when the day arrives they derive lessons from it. When they look at their faults they seek forgiveness, and when they think about their sins they cry and feel dejected. O’ dwelling of the Beloved, where are your inhabitants? O’ places of sincerity, where are your residents? O’ spot of the pious, where are your people? O’ places of nightly prayer, where are your visitors? I have, by Allaah, traveled around and found these people extinct. Those who used to stay awake at night have gone away and the lovers of sleep are left. These times have sought eating the lust to replace fasting."

Are Sins Causes of Eradicating Blessings??

            Sheikh Ibn Baaz  رحمه الله

Question: A sister with the initials 'A' from Riyadh says in her question: 'I read that from the consequences of sinning is punishment from Allaah and the removal of blessings. So I weep out of fear from that, direct me, may Allaah reward you with goodness?'

Answer: No doubt that committing sins are from the causes that draw the Anger of Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى and from the causes of eradicating blessings, drought and the domination of the enemy as Allaah (سُبحانه وتعالى) said:

وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا آلَ فِرْعَونَ بِالسِّنِينَ وَنَقْصٍ مِّن الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
And indeed We punished the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with years of drought and shortness of fruits (crops, etc.), that they might remember (take heed).

You'll never make wudhu or pray the same again (inshaaAllaah)!!

An Important issue!!

Sheikh ibn 'Uthaimeen  رحمه الله  said:

"I wish to remind myself and (all of) you about an important issue, which is:

All of us make wudhu when we desire to pray, but the majority of the time the people merely do so to establish a condition of worship [i.e. the prayer]. And there is nothing wrong with this for the goal is reached. But there is something greater and more complete than this:

EVERYONE has to be upon their adkhār!!

The adkhār of Salaah, Morning and Evening etc. are a protection for a Muslim. It aids a person in bringing barakah and also to increase his Eemaan. When we are consistent with our adkhār we know that we are sticking closely to the Sunnah of our Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم. It is something that our Messenger صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم did and encouraged us to do. The different supplications we recite also protects us from Shaitaan.

The adkhār of morning should be recited specifically after fajr (before sunrise) and the adkhār of the evening should be recited after Asr (before sunset). If for any reason we miss doing them at the proper time, then we MUST still do it as soon as we are able to. In fact, no matter what, one MUST stay upon the adkhār.

TEN ways of obtaining the Love of Allaah, as mentioned by Ibnul Qayyim

Fond d'écran animé, screensaver 240x320 pour téléphone portable

Sheikh Saleh al Fawzaanحفظه الله  explains:

1. Reading the Qur'aan, pondering over it and understanding it with its intended meanings;

2. Drawing closer to Allaah with the Nawaafil (supererogatory acts of worship) after the [fulfillment of the] obligatory acts;

3. Constant remembrance of Allaah in all situations with the tongue, the heart and the action [of the limbs];

4. Preferring that which Allaah loves over what the servant loves when the fulfillment of the two conflict;

The Relief of the Heart & Body Lies in the Obedience to Allaah

by Imâm Ibnul Qayyim al-Jawziyyah رحمه الله

In this lies a great secret from the secrets of Tawheed. This is that the heart cannot become firm, it cannot find satisfaction and it cannot find tranquility except by reaching out to Him. Everything that is loved and desired besides Him then it must be desired for other than His sake. The One Who is desired, the One Who is beloved in and of Himself, with Whom all matters find their final goal is only one. It is impossible that the final goal be to two destinations just as it is impossible that the beginning of the creation be from two sources.

Marks of Hypocrisy in Prayer..!

Ibnul Qayyim رحمه الله writes:

“Six matters that are linked to the prayer have been indicated as marks of hypocrisy:

1. Laziness when one stands up to pray;
2. Intending to show off with one’s prayer;
3. Delaying the prayer;
4. Praying in an extremely hasty manner;
