Be firm upon the Truth!

Animated wallpaper, screensaver 240x320 for cellphone

Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Saleh al-`Uthaimeenرحمه الله  said:

“Be firm, and do not change (your stance) because of the large number of attacks on you nor due to (their) being offended by your words. As long as you are upon the truth then be firm, for truth is never budged (by falsehood). Thereafter, defend (the truth) if you are in a weak position. There is nothing lesser than defending (the truth). But if you are in a strong position, then upon you is to attack (the falsehood). For the days take turns (sometimes in your favor and sometimes otherwise).

The origins of Wrongdoing

Image result for Thorny, rubbled path

Ibnul Qayyim al-Jawziyyah رحمه الله stated:

The origins of wrongdoing are three:

1.     Arrogance: It is that which drove Iblees to that which it drove him (i.e. to commit that which Iblees committed).

2.     Desire: It is that which caused Aadam to be expelled from the Paradise.

3.     Jealousy: It is that which caused one of the sons of Aadam to transgress against his brother.

Keeping away from the indecent Mahram

Question posed to Sheikh ‘Uthaimeen (رحمه الله):
We know that the paternal uncle of the woman is from the Mahaarim (non-marriageable male relatives), those whom it’s permissible for her to uncover in front of. However, what is the case when the paternal uncle of the woman jokes with her with indecent jokes, is it permissible for her not to kiss him due to his indecent joking (with her)?

Answer:
If the paternal uncle jokes around with his nieces in a manner that’s doubtful, it is not permissible for them to go to him nor uncover their faces in front of him. That’s due to the fact that the scholars who allow that the woman can uncover her face in front of the Mahram make it a condition that there’s no Fitnah. And this man that jokes around with his nieces in a manner that’s evil, this means it’s feared that some fitnah will come upon them from him. And that which is obligatory is that one keeps far away from the causes of Fitnah.

What do we do when trials befall us?

"When the trials & tribulations fall,

hold fast to the Sunnah, observe silence,

& don't get involved in that which doesn't concern you

& that which is problematic  for you.

Return back to Allaah & His Messenger, stop & say:

Return The Blame To Yourself & Seek Forgiveness

Sheikhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله stated:

'When you see the servant talking about the people who have harmed him whilst he  (the servant) doesn’t return the blame back to himself and seek forgiveness (from Allaah), then know that his calamity is a true calamity. However when he repents, seeks forgiveness and says, “this is due to my sins,” then this matter (of being harmed by the people) will become a blessing for him.'

Obedience Magnifies the Soul & Disobedience Belittles it !

Animated wallpaper, screensaver 240x320 for cellphone
Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى stated:

The one who purified his soul is indeed successful and the one who corrupts his soul is indeed destroyed.”

The meaning: The one who magnifies his soul, lifts it and makes it superior by way of being obedient to Allaah is indeed successful. And the one who makes his soul inferior and insignificant and belittled it by way of disobedience to Allaah is indeed the loser. There is nothing that belittles the soul like disobedience to Allaah. And there’s nothing that magnifies the soul, makes it honorable and raises it up (in status) like obedience to Him.

Beware O women of being ungrateful to your husbands...!!

Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله) said:

“If a woman’s tongue is long then her days with her husband will be short.
{Arkân-ul-Islam, pg.116}

It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Abbas (رضي اللّه عنـه) said: The Messenger of Allaah (صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم) said:

“I was shown Hell and I have never seen anything more terrifying than it. And I saw that the majority of its people are women.”

They said, “Why, O Messenger of Allaah?”

He said,
“Because of their ingratitude (kufr).”

It was said, “Are they ungrateful to Allaah?”

He said,
“They are ungrateful to their companions (husbands) and ungrateful for good treatment. If you are kind to one of them for a lifetime then she sees one (undesirable) thing in you, she will say, ‘I have never had anything good from you.’”

(Narrated by al-Bukhari, 1052)

“It is upon you to take permission when entering upon your mothers & your sisters.”

From: Tafseer Ibn Katheer:

Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى says in His Noble Book:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَدْخُلُوا بُيُوتًا غَيْرَ بُيُوتِكُمْ حَتَّى تَسْتَأْنِسُوا وَتُسَلِّمُوا عَلَى أَهْلِهَا ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

O you who believe! Enter not houses other than your own, until you have asked permission and greeted those within them; that is better for you, in order that you may remember.
[An Nur 24:27]
Ibn Katheer comments:

Hushaym stated that Ash’ath ibn Suwwaar narrated to us that ibn Mas’ood رضي اللّه عنـه said:

“It is upon you to take permission when entering upon your mothers and your sisters.”

Ash’ath said on the authority of ‘Abee ibn Thaabit who said: A woman from the Ansaar said to the Messenger صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم:

“O Messenger of Allaah, sometimes I am in a state at home in which I do not like anyone to see me in, not my father nor my sons, but men amongst my relatives keep walking in on me while I am in that state.”

Sheikh Muqbil: The Harms of NOT Praying in your Shoes...

Ash-Shaykh, Al-Allaamah, Al-Imaam, Muqbi bin Haadi Al-Waadi’ee (رحمه الله) has a very good chapter in his beneficial book ‘Shar’iyatus-Salaah Fiin-Ni’aal’ (The Legality of Performing The Prayer in shoes) pages 24-26, where he (رحمه الله) speaks about the harms of a person not acting upon this Sunnah and abandoning it. So he then speaks about what he has witnessed and heard about what happened to those who wanted to act upon this Sunnah:

“The Harms of Abandoning Praying in the Shoes

Firstly, from the greatest of harms of leaving off performing the prayer in shoes is that the majority of Muslims have become ignorant of this Sunnah and they see that the one who prays in his shoes has committed a great crime…

And I have heard whilst I am in Yemen of a keeper of Masjid saying: “A man who was once in Saudi and then returned to his country, when he wanted to enter the Masjid I said to him: ‘By Allaah, if you enter the Masjid with your shoes I will break your leg!’”
