Ask Allaah To Protect You From These Destructive Diseases!

The Messenger [صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم] said: “My nation will be afflicted by the diseases of the previous nations.” They said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! What are the diseases of the previous nations?’ He said: ”Excessive amusement, vanity, [blameworthy] competition for worldly possessions, undercutting one another in business transactions, [blameworthy] enmity towards one another and envy, until it leads to transgression”.

“…I saw a young black boy…”

‘Abdullaah Ibnul-Mubaarak رحمه الله said:

I came to Makkah while it had been stricken by drought and the people were praying Istisqaa (prayer for rain) in Masjid Al-Haraam. I was by the gate of Banee Shaybah, when I saw a young black boy who was wearing two pieces of burlap (a thick cloth usually used to make sacks), one piece wrapped around his waist and the other tossed over his shoulder. He stood at a secluded place next to me and I heard him say, “My Lord, the faces are worn due to their sins and the evil of their deeds, and you have prevented us from rain to discipline the creation, I ask you O patient and forbearing One, You who His slaves know nothing of Him except that which is beautiful, give them rain, in this moment, in this moment.””

Ibnul-Mubaarak said, “He continued to say, “In this moment” until the sky became filled with clouds, and the rain descended from every direction, and he sat in his place making tasbeeh, and I began to cry.

When he left I followed him to find out where he lives. After that, I went to Fudhayl Ibn 'Iyaadh who said to me, “Why do you look so depressed?”

I said to him, “Someone beat us to Allaah, and so He took him as an intimate companion other than us.”

He said, “How so?”

So I told him the story, and he cried out “Woe be to you, O Ibnul-Mubaarak! Take me to him!”

I said, “There’s no time at the moment, I’ll find out more about him.”

So the next morning I prayed Fajr and I went to his residence and there was an old man sitting at the door. When he saw me he recognized me and said, “Welcome, O Aboo 'Abdir-Rahmaan. What do you need?”

I said, “I am in need of a black boy.”

He said, “I have many”, and so he cried out “Boy!” and a strong young man emerged, and he said, “You’ll have a good result with this one. He would be good for you.”

I said, “I have no need for him”.

So he continued to bring out boy after boy, until I saw the boy that I recognized, so when I saw him my eyes teared. He said, “Is this the one?”

When your sleep....

Image result for sleep

Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه) narrated that Allaah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said,

"During your sleep, Satan knots three knots at the back of the head of each of you, and he breathes the following words at each knot, 'The night is, long, so keep on sleeping.' If that person wakes up and celebrates the praises of Allaah, then one knot is undone, and when he performs ablution the second knot is undone, and when he prays, all the knots are undone, and he gets up in the morning lively and gay, otherwise he gets up dull and gloomy."

A Profit That Will NEVER Perish!

Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى says:

{إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّـهِ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً يَرْجُونَ تِجَارَةً لَّن تَبُورَ}
Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allaah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a profit that will never perish..”
[Faatir, 35:29]

Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم  said:

Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى says: ‘O son of Aadam, devote yourself to My worship. I will fill your breast with freedom from want and plug up your poverty. If you do not do this, I will fill your breast with (worldly) pursuits and will not obstruct poverty.”

This is for Allaah, What is for Me?

Image result for subhanallah alhamdulillah allahu akbar

From Anas رضي اللّه عنـه who said: ‘A Bedouin came to the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم and said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah!  Teach me some goodness.’

So the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم took him by the hand and said:
قل: سبحان الله، والحمد لله، ولا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر
Say: ‘Far is Allaah from imperfection, and all praise be to Allaah, and there is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah, and Allaah is the Greatest.’

The Bedouin counted them on his hand, when he finished he began to reflect then came back to the Prophet.

The Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم smiled and said: The desperate one has reflected.’

Then the Bedouin came and said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah! ‘Far is Allaah from imperfection, and all praise be to Allaah, and there is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah, and Allaah is the Greatest.’  This is for Allaah, what is for me?

The Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said:
Say: O Allaah forgive me, and have mercy on me, and pardon me, and provide for me, and guide me.

The Three Men & the Valley – the Believer, the Hypocrite & the Unbeliever

It is reported that ‘Abdullaah b.

The example of the believer, the unbeliever and the hypocrite is that of three people who arrived at a valley. One of them descended and passed through to the other side. One of them descended until he reached half way, when the third man on the edge of the valley called to him, “Woe to you, where are you going? You will die. Come back.” The man who made it to the other side called to him, “Come and be saved.” So [the man in the middle of the valley] kept looking back and forth at the two [on each side of the valley], when a flood came into the valley and drowned him.

The man who passed through to the other side is the believer; the one who drowned is the Munaafiq (hypocrite).

"[The hypocrites] sway between this and that, neither [fully] with the believers nor with the unbelievers."
[An-Nisaa 4:143]

And the one who remained at the edge of the valley [not able to escape the flood and pass] is the Kaafir (unbeliever).

In What Lies the Rectitude of the 5 persons??

Al-Hakeem al-Tirmidhi رحمه الله said:

"The rectitude of five lie in five: The rectitude of a child lies in the study-room; the rectitude of a youth lies in (seeking and acquiring) knowledge; the rectitude of the mature, middle-aged man lies in the Masjid; the rectitude of a woman is in her house and the rectitude of one who harms others is in the prison."

Three things destroy

The Prophet (صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم) said:

‘Three things destroy:
The greed that is obeyed, the desires that are followed and a person being amazed with his own opinion.’
