Ibnul-Qayyim (Rahimahullaah) said,
“How many times I would hear the Shaikh of Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allaah sanctify his soul, saying, “You [Alone] do we worship …” [Faatihah 1:5] repels ostentation (boastful, showing off), and, “You [Alone] do we ask for help …” repels grandeur/pride [kibriyaa].”
