Learn Knowledge before it is taken away...

 

It is reported that Abû Al-Dardâ` –(Allâh be pleased with him) used to say:

 “Learn knowledge before it is taken way, & it is taken away by its people (scholars) being taken away. The scholar & the student are partners in good & there is NO good in any other people. The richest of men is the knowledgeable man whose knowledge is needed: he benefits those who need him & if done without, he benefits himself with the knowledge Allâh ‘azza wa jalla has placed with him. 

What can my enemies do to me?

“What can my enemies do to me? I have in my breast both my heaven & my garden. If I travel they are with me, never leaving me. Imprisonment for me is a chance to be alone with my Lord. To be killed is martyrdom & to be exiled from my land is a spiritual journey…”

Whatever Allaah has decreed for His believing slave is a blessing…

 

Whatever Allaah has decreed for His believing slave is a blessing even if that is in the form of withholding; it is a favour even if that is in the form of a trial, & the calamity decreed by him is fair even if it is painful.

Gauge your relationship with Allaah…

Shaqeeq al Balkhee stated:

"Whoever would like to know what his relationship with Allaah is, let him look at what people promise him, & what Allaah promises him, & see which of the two his heart is more assured of."

 It is reported that Al-Husayn b. Muhammad said:  

Muhammad b. Ismâ`îl Al-Bukhârî was distinguished with three qualities – in addition to the rest of his praiseworthy traits: 'He never spoke much, he never yearned for what people had. He would never occupy himself with other people’s affairs; all his attention was towards knowledge.'

Saying “انشاء الله - (Inshaa'Allaah)” keeps us from Lying!

A subtle point of benefit to appreciate regarding the obligation of relegating our future actions to the Will of Allaah by saying “انشاء الله  (inshaa’Allaah)” …

Joy because of the Coming of the Month of Ramadhan...

 So in brief, this is a tremendous opportunity in your life, so take advantage of it & ask Allaah to assist you upon righteous actions in it, & ask Allaah for acceptance & an increase from His bounty. For indeed the one who reaches this month of Ramadan & Allaah enables him to achieve benefit from it, then Allaah has bestowed upon him a magnificent blessing that nothing can equal.

By Allaah, the millionaires, owners of skyscrapers & realtors cannot equal this.

Begin with the Memorization of the Mighty Qur’aan

 (The Book of Manners)

Imaam an-Nawawee said:

“So the first thing which he should begin with is the memorization of the mighty Qur'aan, which is the most important of the branches of knowledge. And the Salaf did not used to teach hadeeth or fiqh, except to one who had memorized the Qur'aan. So when he has memorized it, then let him beware of pre-occupying himself from it with hadeeth, or fiqh, or other things, to the extent that it leads him to forget anything from the Qur'aan, or makes that likely.”

I worshiped Allaah for Fifty Years…

Al Haafidh ad Dhahabee

 

Nasr ibn Mahmood al Balkhee said; Ahmad ibn Harb stated:

“I worshiped Allaah for fifty years, I wasn’t able to find the sweetness of worship until I forsook three things:

1.         I forsook seeking the acceptance of people, so I was able to speak the truth.

2.       I forsook the companionship of the sinner, so I was able to accompany the righteous.

3.        I forsook the sweetness of the life of this world, so I was able to find the sweetness of the afterlife.

The heart, in its journey to Allaah...

"The heart, in its journey to Allaah, Majestic is He, is like that of a bird: love is its head, & fear & hope are its two wings. When the head & two wings are sound, the bird flies gracefully; if the head is severed, the bird dies; if the bird loses one of its wings, it then becomes a target for every hunter or predator."
