If bid’ah only consisted of Lies...

If bid’ah only consisted of Lies, then it would not have been accepted and everybody would even hurry to condemn it and refute it. And if it only consisted of Haqq (truth), then it would not have been a Bid’ah, rather, in agreement with the Sunnah, but it (Bid’ah) consist of both truth and lies in which the truth is clothed with lies.”

What is the ruling on the fasting person using cream to get rid of the dryness on the lips?

Sheikh Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaimeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about the ruling on the fasting person using cream to get rid of the dryness on the lips. So, he replied:

‘There is no problem in a person using that which moistens the lips and the nose by way of a cream, or him moistening it with water or with a cloth or that which resembles that. However, he should be careful in case something of this which he has used to remove the coarseness reaches his stomach. And if something does reach the stomach unintentionally, then there is nothing upon him, just as if he rinsed out his mouth and the water reached his stomach unintentionally, then indeed, he does not break his fast with this.'

Always in Need of The Ever-Merciful

So the servant is ALWAYS in need of his Lord, from EVERY perspective. This is because He is the object of his worship, and the source of all of his help. So no one can bring him any good except Him, and nothing can better the situation of the servant except His worship. And on top of all of this, the servant is sinning, and there is no way that he can avoid this. So he is always in need, sinning, and he is in need of the One who always Forgives, the One who is Ever-Merciful. The One who always Forgives (al-Ghafoor) will Forgive his sins, and the Ever-Merciful will show him Mercy and bless him and be kind to him. So the servant is eternally between the blessings of his Lord and the sins of his soul.

How did the Sahaabiyyaat go about teaching their children?

A: Umm ‘Abdillaah (hafithahallaah) gave the example of Umm Sulaym, the mother of Anas (radhiyallaahu ‘anhumaa) who sent her son to serve the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) at a very young age.   He served him for 10 years.  He was not a slave.  Umm Sulaym encouraged Anas to be with Rasoolullaah (صلى الله عليه وسلم).  There’s no difference between the male and female student of knowledge. Umm Sulaym wanted Anas to get blessings and ‘benefit from the ilm of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم).  She wanted him to get practical knowledge.

Umm ‘Abdillaah gave another example: She spoke about the time when the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) sent Anas to do something for him.  He met his mother on the way and she asked him where he was going. He replied that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم sent him somewhere. Umm Sulaym then told him to never convey the Prophet’s secrets.

Sins are like Chains & Locks...

Sins are like chains & locks preventing their perpetrator from roaming the vast garden of tawheed & reaping the fruits of righteous actions.”

Whoever covers for a Muslim, Allaah will cover for him …

Question:
Is the meaning of the Hadith, Whoever covers for a Muslim, Allaah will cover for him”, that if someone does something bad or evil and I covered for him Allaah will cover me? I hope you can clarify this for me. May Allaah reward you.

Shaykh Abdul Aziz ibn Baaz (may Allaah reward him) answered:
Yes, this Hadith is authentic. Recorded by Muslim on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (radiAllaahu ‘anhu – may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet  said, ”Whoever relieves a believer from a difficulty from this Dunya (worldly life), Allaah will relieve a difficulty from him from the difficulties of Yawm Al-Qiyaama (the Day of Judgment). And whoever aids and makes easy an insolvency, Allaah will be easy on him in this life and the next. And whoever protects for a Muslim, Allaah will protect him in this world and the next.”
·       Insolvency is the inability of a debtor to pay their debt.

Trapping Iblees at any of the 6 levels...

“… If Al-'Abd prevents Iblees from trapping him at any of these 6 levels, & if it becomes difficult for Iblees, he empowers his party of Jinn & human beings with different kinds of harm, IMPUTING DISBELIEF TO HIM, CALLING HIM MISGUIDED & AN INNOVATOR, WARNING PEOPLE AGAINST HIM, & intending to weaken him & to disturb his heart. Iblees, by using this method, tries to confuse this person's thinking & tries to PREVENT PEOPLE FROM BENEFITING FROM HIM. Therefore Iblees expends his utmost effort to empower the defenders of falsehood, from human beings & from Jinn, against him. --Then the believer is at war until death. Whenever he gives up, he is hurt or is taken captive. -- Hence the believer is in Jihaad until he meets with Allâh."

Traps of Iblees: by Ibnul-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah rahimahullaah

Yearning for Allaah & His meeting is like the gentle breeze

“Yearning for Allaah & His meeting is like the gentle breeze blowing upon the heart, extinguishing the blaze of the Dunya. Whosoever caused his heart to settle with his Lord shall be in a state, calm & tranquility, & whosoever sent it amongst the people shall be disturbed & excessively perturbed.”

[Ibnul Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah (rahimahullaah)]

True people of Taqwa

“It [taqwa] mostly comes to someone who does his duty to Allaah with loving obedience. Most people if they try to do this neglect their duties to others or only fulfill them partially. These people do not leave time or energy for their duties to their families & the community. To be able to give what is due to Allaah & what is due to people is something can only be achieved by few special people -- they are the true people of taqwa.”

Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbalī [d. 795H/1393CE]
