- Its name: Ramadhan, The Month of Ramadhan, The Month of Patience, The Month of Siyaam.
- Look for the Hilaal: Moon
- The doors of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are locked.
- The Shayateen are locked up.
- During every night Allaah frees someone from Hell.
- During Ramadhan a servant’s provisions are increased.
- Whoever breaks a fasting person’s fast at Iftar will receive the reward of freeing a slave, a fasting person and his minor sins will be forgiven.
- Whoever helps satisfy the appetite of a Fasting person will be allowed to drink from the Prophet’s pond
- During Ramadhan a person must fast during the day.
- Whoever fasts during Ramadhan anticipating Allaah’s reward will have his sins forgiven.
- Whoever stands at night during Ramadhan anticipating Allaah’s reward will have his sins forgiven.
- Fasting correctly gives a person Taqwa.
- The Qur’aan was revealed during this month.
- It’s legislated to stand in congregation for a Sunnah prayer during Ramadhan.
- It encouraged to frequently give charity during Ramadhan.
- It’s strongly encouraged to perform I’tikaf during Ramadhan.
- The Last Ten Nights are the best nights in the Year.
- Lailultul Qadr is in Ramadhan.
- Umrah during Ramadhan is equivalent to Hajj.
- Whoever stands during Lailultul Qadr anticipating Allaah’s reward will have his sins forgiven.
- Zakatul Fitr is paid. '
