A Great Dua

Bouquet Of Beautiful Flowers In A Cup On A Table Stock Photo, Picture And Royalty Free Image. Image 96003786.

The mother of the believers, Juwayriyah Bintul-Haarith (May Allaah be pleased with her) reported:

The Prophet () came out from my apartment in the morning as I was busy in performing the dawn prayer. He came back in the forenoon and found me sitting there. The Prophet () said, "Are you still in the same position as I left you." I replied in the affirmative. Thereupon the Prophet () said,

"I recited four words three times after I had left you. If these are to be weighed against all you have recited since morning, these will be heavier. These are: SubhaanAllaahi wa bihamdihi, adada khalqihi, wa ridhaa nafsihi, wa zinata arshihi, wa midaada kalimaatihi

[Allaah is free from imperfection and I begin with His praise, as many times as the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good Pleasure, equal to the weight of His Throne and equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words (for His Praise)]."

The Firm Supplication

Bouquet Of Beautiful Flowers In A Cup On A Table Stock Photo ...

‘Abdullāh ibn Mas’ūd رضي الله تعالى عنه said:
Indeed Allāh does not accept from the one who recites to be heard, nor from the insincere, nor from the one playing, nor the supplicant except for the one who supplicates with a firm supplication from his heart.
(Az-Zuhd of Ibn al-Mubārak 83)

Sheikh Dr. ‘Abdur-Razzāq al-Badr, may Allāh preserve him, said:
The firm supplication is the one emerging from heart because Allāh does not accept the supplication from a heedless heart as it has come in the Hadīth:

Supplicate to Allāh while you are certain of an answer and know that Allāh does not answer the supplication from a heedless inattentive heart.’

Never Leave Off Making Dua

Supplication Dua"a - Home | Facebook

Ibn ‘Uyaynah (رحمه الله) said:

“Don’t ever leave off making du’a nor allow what [bad deeds] you commit to prevent you from it, for indeed Allaah answered the du’a of Iblees (the Devil) and he is the most evil of creation [when he said to Allaah] “‘Grant me respite until the Day in which they will be resurrected.’ He (Allaah) said, ‘Indeed you are from those who are granted respite.’ ”
[Al-Araf:14-15]“

Beautiful Dua

"And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says:

'My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims.'"

Dua To Recite When Seeing A Person Afflicted In His Body Or Religion

Dark Lightning animated GIF

A Beautiful Dua to recite when seeing a person who is afflicted in his body or religion:
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِي مِمَّا ابْتَلَاكَ بِهِ وَفَضَّلَنِي عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ تَفْضِيلًا
"All praise is due to Allâh, the One who has kept me safe from that with which He has trialed you with , and preferred me over so many of His creation."
Abu Hurairah رضي اللّه عنـه narrated that:

The Messenger of Allaah () said: “Whoever sees an afflicted person then says: ‘All praise is due to Allaah who saved me from that which He has afflicted you with, and blessed me greatly over many of those whom He has created, (Al-amdulillāhi alladhī `āfānī mimmabtalāka bihī wa faḍḍalanī `alā kathīrin mimman khalaqa tafīla) he shall not be struck by that affliction.

(The hadeeth has been reported by Tirmidhi and others, and authenticated by Albani

A Side Note: al-Imam an-Nawawi  رحمه الله and others mentioned he shouldn't raise his voice with the du'a to the extent the person who is afflicted can hear him.

Importance of asking Allaah to be protected from that which others are afflicted with..

Animated wallpaper, screensaver 240x320 for cellphone

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم   said:

"Whoever comes across a person suffering a calamity and says:

الحمد لله الذي عافاني مما ابتلاك به ، وفضلني على كثير ممن خلق تفضيلا

(Alhamdulillaa-hillaazi Aafaani mim mabtalaaka bihi, wa faddalani ala katheerim mimman khalaqa tafdeelaa)

‘All praise is for Allaah Who saved me from that which He tested you with and Who most certainly favored me over much of His creation,’
he will be kept SAFE from that calamity."

[Sunan al-Tirmidhee (3431, 3432) on the authority of Abu Hurairah & `Umar  رضي الله عنهما, and Sunan Ibn Maajah (3892) & graded as “Hasan” by Sheikh al-Albaanee]

The Sunnah Before (Beginning) The Dua

Sheikh ibn Baaz رحمه الله in his explanation to "Riyaadh al-Saaliheen" said:

The Sunnah before (beginning) the dua is to praise Allaah as has been mentioned in ‘al-Tahiyyaat’*, then after that to send the prayer upon the Prophet  صلى الله عليه وسلم, then (he should make) the dua. And this is how it should be done also when he is making the dua in Sujood (prostration), or at any other time; he should praise Allaah, send prayers upon the Prophet  صلى الله عليه وسلم and then supplicates to his Lord for whatever he wishes, and this is the first step for the dua being answered.”

Narrated Fudalah ibn Ubayd: The Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم heard a person supplicating during prayer. He did not mention the greatness of Allaah, nor did he invoke blessings on the Prophet The Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم  said:

Precious Advice!

Imaam as-Sa'dy رحمه الله said:

'Whoever's aim in making du'ā (supplication) is to get closer to Allāh by way of the du'ā (a type of worship) and to attain his request (what he supplicated for), then he is more complete than many who only intend with their du'ā  attainment of what their supplicating for.  And this is from the fruit of beneficial knowledge, for indeed ignorance prevents many of the creation from [making] lofty intentions and beautiful means [of attaining goodness]."
