رَبِّ ابْنِ لِى عِندَكَ بَيْتاً فِى الْجَنَّةِ

It is also desirable for the worshiper to make his heart present during all the matters which are related to the prayer. When he hears the call of the Mu’adhin he should liken it to the call on the Day of Judgement and set out to answer it with vigour and determination. Let him consider (the reality of) what he is responding to and in what state his body comes to the prayer. When he has covered himself (for the prayer) he should realize that the purpose behind it is to conceal the shamefulness of his body from the creation. Let him also realize his deficiencies and defects and the scandals and disgraces of his inner self which none can know except the Creator and which none can cover or hide. Only remorse, modesty and fear can expiate for them.

NEW !!  {Lessons 6 & 7 have been added to the folder}

Ibn Mas'ud رضي اللّه عنـه said:

Allaah's Messenger صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said: Each human has been assigned one jinn and one angel associated with him. They asked Him صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم: 'Is this the same for you O Allaah's Messenger?' He replied: 'It is the same for me, but Allaah has helped me against my jinn, he became Muslim and does not tell me to do anything but good.'

Notes from Mukhtasar Minhaj Al-Qâsidin (Towards the Hereafter)

By: Ibn Qudamah Al-Maqdisi رحمه الله

Taught by: Umm Hyatt al-Ameriki حفظها الله
Notes: Umm Hasna bint Jabir as-Saylâniyyah

The journey to Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى is not by our feet. We travel to Allaah with our heart. This is how we find closeness to Allaah. Our enemy is the one who tries to distract a person or to reduce his faith. He is the obstacle on our way to Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى. Who is that enemy? He is none other than 'Shaitaan.'

Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى says in the Noble Qur'aan:

إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ فَاتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّا
"Surely, Shaitân (Satan) is an enemy to you, so take (treat) him as an enemy."
(Surah al-Fatir 35:6)

Allaah has given Shaitaan the ability to flow in the body of man in a way which we do not understand. What follows is a brief look into the tricks and plots of Shaitaan. I hope these notes will insha-Allaah serve as a handy weapon in combating Shaitaan and all success lies with Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى. May Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى preserve and reward our teacher Umm Hyatt حفظها الله for teaching us this book with sabr and clarity. All Praise is due to Allaah.
