The heart that is alive & contains a portion of faith, Shaytaan attacks it…

 By Sheikh Saalih al-Uthaymeen

Thoughts and whispers that contradict the religion do not frequent the dead heart, on account of its being lifeless and a destroyed organ. Shaytaan does not want more than with what he is charged. For that reason, it was said to Ibn Mas’ud (رضي اللّه عنـه) or Ibn Abbas (رضي اللّه عنـه) that the Jews say: “They do not get any whispers while they pray.” In other words uneasiness does not afflict them. He said: “They have spoken the truth and what can Shaytaan do with a heart that is already ruined.”

Exercising Patience - Ibnul Qayyim al-Jawziyyah

Animated wallpaper, screensaver 240x320 for cellphoneEvery person has to exercise patience in order to face difficulties, whether he does so willingly or unwillingly. The noble person exercises patience willingly, because he realizes the benefits of patience, and he knows that he will be rewarded for his patience and will be criticized if he panics. He is aware that if he does not have patience, panicking and impatience will not help him to regain missed opportunities, and will NOT  take away things he dislikes. Whatever is decreed and is qada’ wa qadr cannot be prevented from happening, and whatever is decreed not to happen cannot be made to happen. So an attitude of impatience and panic actually causes harm.

A wise man said: “A man with wisdom as soon as adversity appears does that which a foolish man does after a month (i.e. he resorts to patience).

JOY because of the coming of the Month of Ramadhan!

Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan حفظه الله

The Muslim is always upon good, especially when Allaah blesses him to reach the month of Ramadhan and other than it from the seasons of worship, and gives him success in taking advantage of it and utilizing it in that which it has been legislated for. In opposition to the people of Hirmaan (Deprivation), whose lives are a curse upon them. Days, even months of good pass them by while they are in heedlessness, turning away.

Audio: Guidelines for the Approach of the month of Ramadhan

This is an address from Sheikh Abu 'Amr Al-Hajoori حفظه الله translated by the Noble brother Abu Mu'aawiyah Mustafa Al-Amreeki - may Allaah have mercy on him. The Sheikh gives us some valuable guidelines as to how the Muslim should approach the blessed month of Ramadhan.

Sheikh Abu Amr Al-Hajoori حفظه الله is from the Scholars of what was Darul Hadeeth Dammaj. He now resides in San'aa, the capital of Yemen where he continues to teach his lessons at the institution which is now known as Darul Hadeeth Yemen.

Abu Mu'aawiyah Mustafa Al-Amreeki رحمه الله was from the best examples of a Muslim, student of knowledge and a human being. He was well known for his diligence in his studies and teaching and extreme generosity amongst his other lofty qualities. He and over forty others were left for more than forty days after being murdered by the Houthi terrorist during their invasion on the institution that lasted 104 days in it where the students were brutally attacked in a military type assault. 207 students were murdered and 610 were injured by heavy artillery and relentless marksman like sniper fire. We ask Allaah to accept those students who were murdered oppressively as Shuhadaa and to heal our wounded, ameen!
