Seek protection from laziness & from not having the capability to do an action.

The Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم used to seek protection from laziness and also from not having the capability.

اللّهُمَّ إنِّي أعُوذُبِكَ مِن العَجزِ وَ الكَسلٍ
Allahumma inniy a’oothubika min al-ajzi wal-kasli 'O Allah, I seek refuge in you from incapability and laziness.'
Definition of Laziness:
A person has the capability to do an action but he does not want to.
Laziness  &  not having the capability -- both prevent a person from good. This is the reason why Prophet Muhammd صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم sought refuge from these two obstructions of good:
1) Laziness;
2) Not having the capability to do an action.

Beautiful Advice

Animated wallpaper, screensaver 240x320 for cellphone

Ibn al Jawzi رحمه الله تعالى said:

"When your companion becomes angry and says something that is unwarranted, you should not take it too hard. His situation is that of a drunken person who is not aware of what is taking place. Instead, be patient, even if it means only for a little while. If you reciprocate his words with harsh words of your own, you become like the sane person who seeks revenge on a madman, or the conscious person who seeks retribution from an unconscious one. Look at him with a merciful eye and pity him for his actions."

Is Disobedience a cause for the destruction of the Ummah?

Sheikh Muhammad ibn Saaleh al-Uthaimeen رحمه الله said:

“Do you see any destruction more severe than the destruction of the Ummah nowadays? They are Billion in numbers, they are nearly one-fourth of the world population, but they have no value in the global community in spite of having moral force, material power and manpower. But when they neglected the Deen of Allaah, Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى forsook (renounced) them, so that a person trusts1 the oppressors among the Kuffâr more than he trusts1 his own brothers among the Muslims – and this is an ordeal and a calamity.”

What are the THREE conditions which are tokens of the servant’s happiness ??

Fond d'écran animé, screensaver 240x320 pour téléphone portable

Three conditions are tokens of the servant’s happiness [sa’adat al-abd], and the signs of his success in this world and the next. No servant is without them, but is always shifting from one to the other.

These are:

1. When blessed, he gives thanks (Shukr);
2. when tried with difficulties/trials, he perseveres (Sabr); and
3. when sinful, he seeks forgiveness (Tawba).

1.     Shukr for blessings: The first condition is the blessings which come to the servant from Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى, one after another. What secures them is gratitude [Shukr], based on three supports: (ainward recognition of the blessing; (boutward mention and thanks for it; (cand its use in a way that pleases the One to whom it truly belongs and who truly bestows it.

What is our Aqeedah? What is Sunnah? Who are the Salaf? MUST READ !!

كَنْزُالأَطْفاَل

 (The Children's Treasure)

Taught by: Umm Hyatt al-Ameriki  حفظها الله

Question #13:   مَا عَقِيدتك؟ - What is your Aqeedah (belief)?

Answer:

سُنِّي سَلَفِي. - (for males)
 سُنِّية سَلَفِية - (for females)

What does سُنِّية سَلَفِية  mean ?
It means we, (the Muslims) take our Deen from the Sunnah & from the Salaf.

The daleel (proof) to call ourselves Sunni is the following hadeeth:

On the authority of Abu Najeeh al-’Irbaad ibn Saariyah رضي اللّه عنـه who said:

The Messenger of Allaah صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم gave us a sermon by which our hearts were filled with fear and tears came to our eyes. So we said, “O Messenger of Allaah! It is as though this is a farewell sermon, so counsel us.” He صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسل said, “I counsel you to have taqwa (fear) of Allaah, and to listen and obey [your leader], even if a slave were to become your ameer. Verily he among you who lives long will see great controversy, so you must keep to my Sunnah and to the Sunnah of the Khulafa ar-Rashideen (the rightly guided caliphs), those who guide to the right way. Cling to it stubbornly [literally: with your molar teeth]. Beware of newly invented matters [in the religion], for verily every bid'ah (innovation) is misguidance.”
(Tirmidhi)
The Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم is clearly commanding us in this hadeeth:
عَلَيْكُمْ بِسُنَّتِي - It is upon you 'My Sunnah!'

The Sunnah means 'the way, the path' -- the way of the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم and the four righteous leaders i.e. the caliphs.

عَضُّوا عَلَيْهَا بِالنَّوَاجِذِ  - means Cling to it stubbornly [literally: with your molar teeth]. This shows how tightly and firmly we must hold onto the Sunnah of the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم.

When we say   سُنِّية , the   ' ي '  means that you are attributing and connecting yourself to the Sunnah (the Path) of the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم and the Salaf (our pious predecessors).

Is the marriage of 'Shighaar' Haraam in Islaam??

Al-Imaam Ibn Baaz رحمه الله was asked the following Question:

The Question: I am interested to get married to my female cousin and she too is interested whilst on the other hand my male cousin is interested to get married to my sister and likewise the same for her. This is based upon the fact that the guardians of each family are pleased with it, (I mean both parents). The point is that all members from both sides are completely pleased with it and there are no conditions between us. Also, we acknowledge that the marriage of "Shighâr" is haraam. However, what we request from you O' Noble Sheikh, (may Allaah preserve you), is that you direct us to a safe and upright way (in performing the marriage), in order that the marriage be valid, so that we will be safe from falling into the marriage of "Shighâr" and from falling into sin and unlawful acts. Also, is it necessary that each one of the spouses gives more (dowry) than the other?

The Rulings of Puberty in Islaam

by Faisal Ibn Abdul Qaadir Ibn Hassan Abu Sulaymaan

The Meaning of Puberty:

Puberty ( البلوغ ) signifies the time when a child transitions from childhood to adulthood. At this stage, he/she becomes legally responsible according to Islâmic Legislation, which means their good and bad deeds will be recorded.

Imaam Ibn Mandhoor رحمه الله said:

A boy reaches ( بلغ ) puberty: i.e. has a wet dream  -- it is as if he has reached the time of recording [of good / bad deeds] and legal responsibility. This is like that of a girl who has reached ( بلغت ) puberty”.

How can these hearts stop remembering Him?

Animated wallpaper, screensaver 240x320 for cellphone

Ibnul Qayyim (رحمه الله) said:

“If we look closely at the words of the Qur'aan, we will find a Sovereign, to Whom belongs all Dominion, and all praise and thanks are due to Him. All affairs are in His grasp, and He is the source and the end of all affairs. He rose over His throne, and no secret of His kingdom shall ever be hidden from Him, as He is the Knower of the servants’ souls. He alone is the Planner of the Kingdom’s affairs. He hears, sees, grants, averts rewards, punishes, honors, abases, creates, gives and takes life, provides, estimates, judges, and conducts the affairs of man. The decrees, whether minor or major, descend and ascend by His permission. Nothing can move, even equal to the weight of an atom, except by His permission; not a leaf falls, but He knows it.

..NEVER risk your religion..!!

Animated wallpaper, screensaver 240x320 for cellphone

It is reported that Jundub bin ‘Abdillâh Al-Bajalî رضي اللّه عنـه was once asked for advice and instruction. He said:

"I advise you to fear Allâh and obey Him (taqwâ) and I advise you to adhere to the Qur'aan, for it is a light in the dark night and a guidance during the day, so implement it no matter how much struggle and poverty you have to face. If a calamity befalls you, put your wealth forward to protect your religion, and if the calamity continues, put forward your wealth and your life to save your religion [but NEVER risk your religion], for the ruined is he whose religion is ruined, and the looted is he whose religion is taken. And know that there is no poverty after Paradise, and no riches after the Fire."

Sheikh Al-Albaani (رحمه الله)’s advice to the youth

Animated wallpaper, screensaver 240x320 for cellphone

“Listen my brother. I sincerely advise you and other youths like you, who stand upon a type of deviation – as it seems to us, and Allaah knows best – that do not waste your time in refuting each other, saying that such and such has this in him, and such and such has that in him.

This is because, firstly: there is no knowledge at all in this, and secondly: this mannerism only breeds enmity and hatred in the hearts, and causes contempt and rancour to develop in the hearts.

So It is upon you to seek knowledge.  It is knowledge that will make clear to you the reality of the speech which is in praise of a particular person having many mistakes, and whether he is deserving of being labeled as an innovator.  Yet why do we wish to delve into such issues.  Indeed I advise you not to delve into such issues.
