Say what you wish in abuse of me...

Imaam Ash-Shaafi`ee رحمه الله said:

"Say what you wish in abuse of me, for my silence towards the idiot is indeed an answer. I am not at a loss for a response but rather, it does not befit the lion to answer the dogs."

Allaah the Most High said,

He is Allaah, none has the right to be worshiped except Him, Al-Malik (the King), Al-Qudoos (the Holy), As-Salaam (the One Free from all defects), Al-Mu'min (the Giver of security), Al-Muhaymin (the Watcher over His creatures), Al-Jabbaar (the All-Mighty), Al-Mutakabbir (the One who Compels, the Supreme). Glorified is Allah! Above all that they associate as partners with Him. He is Allah, Al-Khaaliq (the Creator), Al-Baari' (the Inventor of all things), Al-Musuwwir (the Bestower of forms). To Him belong the Best Names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is Al-'Azeez (the All-Mighty), Al-Hakeem (the All-Wise).”5

Al-Bara’a Ibn Aazib (Bukhari), the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said:

If you have come to your bed then make Wudhu (perfect the Wudhu like that of salaah with all the conditions), then lie down on your right side and recites the following adkhar (making this his last speech), and if you die then, you would have died upon the fitrah.”

** From the signs of a believer is that he perfects his Wudhu **

Keep Yourself Busy in Remembering Your Faults

Imaam Sufyaan Ath-Thawree رحمه الله said:

"Keep yourself busy in remembering your faults, so that you have no time to remember the faults of others. Be sad on account of all the time you spent in the past in other than the pursuit of your Hereafter. Cry frequently for the wrongs you have committed in the past, and perhaps you will then be saved from them. Never tire or become bored of good deeds and of the people who perform them."

The Great Standing

Imaam Al-Awzaa’ee رحمه الله said:

"Whoever stands the night in prayer, Allaah will make easy for him his standing on the Day of Judgment.

Turn all your attention to that which benefits you, for indeed life is short. Be greedy as regards to your day and night. And no one will benefit you, because you will die alone and you will enter your grave alone and you will be questioned alone and you will stand before Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى  alone. Then, for sure you will be asked about your deeds. So invest your time and do not waste even a single moment of it. And do not be like those who when death, the destroyer of pleasures and separator of people, comes to them they say:

O' my Lord, return me!"
[Sooratul-Muminuun (23):99]

Why is it that he wants to return? Is it because he wants to build a house? Or that he wants to furnish a home? Why is it that he wants to come back? Why does he want to return? He wants to do good deeds!

Make Excuses...

Abu Qilabah Al-Jurmi رحمه الله said,

“If something of your brother is conveyed to you that you dislike, expend all your efforts in finding an excuse for him, even then, if you cannot find an excuse say to yourself: perhaps he has an excuse that I am not aware of.”
