The ruling on copying voices of famous reciters

Shaykh Muhammad Naasirud-Deen Al-Albaanee رحمه الله was asked: What is the ruling on copying the voices of reciters?

And he رحمه الله replied: “I cannot find an answer to this question other than his saying صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم: “I and my Ummah are free from pretension.”{This hadeeth has been weakened by An-Nawawee and Al-Haafith Al-'Iraaqee.} And stronger that it is the hadeeth of 'Umar: "We have been prohibited from pretension to the guest."

Is Ramadhan The Month of Food?

Well, NO, it is NOT !!  But Burger King apparently thinks so….Hmmm... I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry… This is a couple of years old but I just came across it…

Also read the following rulings:

The statement “Ramadhan Kareem”, is not Allaah Al Kareem!

Sheikh Saleh al Fawzan رحمه الله answers:

This has no basis. Their statement Ramadhan Kareem, this has NO basis. As for “Ramadhan Shareef”, “Ramadhan Mubaarik”, “Ramadhan Atheem”, these descriptions appear in various narrations. Atheem, Mubaarik, Shareef, there is no problem (with these terms). As for Kareem, then I do not know of any origin for this.

Educating & Nurturing our Children - Ibnul-Qayyim رحمه الله

“Whoever neglects and disregards educating his child that which will benefit him and leaves him to wander about with no direction has indeed wronged him in the worst way. The majority of children’s corruption has come by way of their fathers abandoning and disregarding them along with not teaching them the mandatory and voluntary matters of the religion. Therefore they neglected them while they were young, thus they didn’t gain any benefit for themselves nor did their fathers gain benefit from them when they grew up.”

Allaah’s Shade for Women – Shaykh Abdul Aziz bin Baaz رحمه الله

Question: The Hadith regarding the seven to whom Allaah gives shade to, on the day when there will be no shade except His is it specific to men, or will women receive the reward mentioned if they do exactly the same deeds?

Summary of Understanding Islam, a solution to: THE TRIALS OF LIFE (2)

     Opposing the Messenger   صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم

Dr. Saleh al Fawzan حفظه الله

There is no doubt that a person’s remaining upon Islam is in the hands of Allaah. We are not fully in control as to whether or not we remain upon Islam until we die. However, we should bring about the causes that help us stay upon Islam, until we die. Those practical, protective reasons, so if we adopt these reasons, Allaah enlightens us with His bounty and completes His blessings upon us. Thus, He will cause us to die upon Islam because we have brought about those reasons and striven in the path of gaining salvation for indeed Allaah is kind and generous. If He sees that His servant has a concern and a desire to do good deeds and a hatred for the evil things and likewise fears falling into the evil things, then He سُبحانه وتعالى will strengthen, protect, guard and make his religion safe and complete with all that is good.

قال الإمام ابن قيم الجوزية رحمه الله

لله ملك السموات والأرض ، واستقرض منك حبة فبخلت بها ، وخلق سبعة أبحر وأحب منك دمعةً فقحطت عينك بها

“To Allaah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, yet He asks a loan from you (i.e. giving charity) but you are stingy. He created the seven seas, but He loved a tear from you (out of fear of Him) but your eyes were tearless.”

Did he not reach Ramadan, fast & pray with such & such number of prostrations in the year?’

Talha ibn ‘UbaydAllaah (رضي اللّه عنـه) reported that two men came to the Prophet (صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم) who had accepted Islaam at the same time. One of them used to partake in Jihad more-so than the other, and so (one day) he fought in a battle and was martyred therein. The other remained behind him for another year, and then he passed away.

Talha said, ‘I saw in my dream that I was at the door of Paradise when behold, I was with both of them (the two men). Someone came out of Paradise and allowed the man who passed away later to enter first. Then he came out again and allowed the martyred one to enter. Then he returned and said to me, ‘Go back, for your time has not come yet.’

Indeed a slave commits a sin and enters Paradise through committing it and he performs a good deed and enters the Hellfire through performing it.

It was asked ‘How is this (possible)?

Ibnul Qayyim رحمه الله answered:

‘A sin is committed and thus does not cease to be before his eyes (causing him to be) fearful of it, concerned about it frightened and weeping due to his regret of doing it. Feeling ashamed due to this action before his Lord The Most High, with his head lowered between his hands, and his heart broken and despondent due to it.

Summary of Understanding Islam, a solution to: THE TRIALS OF LIFE (1)

Obstacles in Life - Dr. Saleh al Fawzaan
There are obstacles which befall a person that may expel him out of Islam if he is a Muslim. These obstacles may also weaken the faith in his heart or may even obstruct a person from entering into Islam if he is not a Muslim.

There are great trials which a person faces, so it is obligatory for him to have knowledge of them so that he is able to stay clear of them and overcome them if he is tested.
Hudayfah ibn al-Yaman رضي اللّه عنـه said:
