Al-Ikhlaas & the Six Affairs of Al-Mutaaba’ah (following the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم)

Al-Ikhlaas & the Six Affairs of Al-Mutaaba’ah (following the Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم)

Sheikh Uthaimeen (d.1421H) رحمه الله said,

Sincerity (ikhlaas) towards Allaah means that the person desires by his worship closeness to Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى & reaching His Abode of Nobility (i.e. Paradise), such that the servant must be sincere towards Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى in his intended purpose. He must be sincere towards Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى in his love. He must be sincere towards Allaah in his exaltation. He must be sincere to Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى outwardly & inwardly. He does not seek anything with his worship, except for the Face of Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى & reaching His Abode of Nobility.” [1]
Stated Sheikh ’Uthaimeen رحمه الله,

“And in order that it will be known – O brothers – that al-mutaaba’ah cannot be actualized, except when the action is in agreement with the Shari'ah in six affairs:

There is nothing more dangerous than being bored of Allaah's Blessings

Ibnul-Qayyimرحمه الله   said:

From the greatest of sins which are hidden – and widely practiced – is that the servant is enjoying a blessing that Allaahسُبحانه وتعالى  has blessed him with and chosen for him, then that servant becomes bored of it and seeks to exchange it for what he thinks (due to his ignorance) is better for him than it, and His Lord continues to be merciful to him and does not prevent him from this blessing, and He excuses him due to his ignorance and this bad choice that he has chosen for himself. When he reaches the limit in scorning this blessing and his boredom with it overcomes him, Allaahسُبحانه وتعالى  removes this blessing from him.

The Power of Du’aa

Don’t Ever Underestimate The Power of Du’aa

Don’t ever underestimate Du’aa. What is the value of Du’aa? That you are transferring a situation from your power and ability to the All-Mighty power and ability of Allaah. You are moving obstacles from yourself to the One who has no obstacles…

The Trial of the so called Caliphate of ‘Iraaq - Sheikh ‘Abdul Muhsin Al ‘Abbaad

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
All praise is due to Allaah and may the peace and blessings be upon whom there is no Prophet after him, our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and his companions, as to what proceeds.

Some years ago in ‘Iraaq a group that called itself the Islamic State of ‘Iraaq and Shaam1 has emerged and they have become known by four letters (داعش).2 And those who have taken its leadership, as those who have followed news about them mention, are many whose names are Abu so and so or Abu so and so the son of so and so, appellations which are ascribed to a particular country or tribe as is the state of those unknown who hide behind appellations and ascriptions3. And after some time passed with the war which occurred between the Syrian government and those who oppose them, groups of these fighters came who didn’t oppose the government. Rather, they fought Ahlus Sunnah (Sunnis) who were opposed to the government and slew them. And it has become widespread that they slay those who they wish to slay by using knives which is from the most loathsome and offensive ways in killing human beings4.

Sheikh Uthaimeen رحمه الله

It is NOT importance when the person will die or where the person will die. It is not important that he dies in Mecca or in Medina or another place from the lands of Allaah. It is not important that he dies on Friday, or Monday or any other day of the week. The only thing which is important is in what condition the person will die. This is what is important.

In what condition will the person die?
Will you die upon Imaan (faith), sincerity, and Tawheed?

Do not Marry 7 types of Women

 Taken from the Book
A Concise Manual of Marriage’ by Sheikh Uthaimeen رحمه الله

1. Al-Annaanah:
The woman who whines, moans and complains and ‘ties a band around her head’ all the time (i.e. complains of a headache or some illness but in reality she is not sick, rather she is faking).

2. Al-Mannaanah:
The woman who bestows favours, gifts, etc. upon her husband then (at that time or the future) says; “I did such and such for you or on your behalf or because of you.'

Notes from Mukhtasar Minhaj Al-Qâsidin (Towards the Hereafter)

By: Ibn Qudamah Al-Maqdisi رحمه الله

Taught by: Umm Hyatt al-Ameriki حفظها الله
Notes: Umm Hasna bint Jabir as-Saylâniyyah

The journey to Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى is not by our feet. We travel to Allaah with our heart. This is how we find closeness to Allaah. Our enemy is the one who tries to distract a person or to reduce his faith. He is the obstacle on our way to Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى. Who is that enemy? He is none other than 'Shaitaan.'

Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى says in the Noble Qur'aan:

إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ فَاتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّا
"Surely, Shaitân (Satan) is an enemy to you, so take (treat) him as an enemy."
(Surah al-Fatir 35:6)

Allaah has given Shaitaan the ability to flow in the body of man in a way which we do not understand. What follows is a brief look into the tricks and plots of Shaitaan. I hope these notes will insha-Allaah serve as a handy weapon in combating Shaitaan and all success lies with Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى. May Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى preserve and reward our teacher Umm Hyatt حفظها الله for teaching us this book with sabr and clarity. All Praise is due to Allaah.
