Ibnul-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (رحمه الله) said in ‘Zad al-Ma’ad’ (2/22-26):

“…The Prophet صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم was the most generous person in giving away what he owned, and he would never look at something as being either too big or too insignificant to give up for the sake of Allaah.

Nobody would ask him for anything except that he gave it to them, regardless of how big or small it was.  He gave things away in a way that made it seem that he never feared poverty, and generosity and charity were the most beloved things to him. His happiness and joy in giving something away was more than that felt by those who would accept his gifts. He was the most generous person, and his generosity was like the blowing wind.

Greatness of Allaah..!

The Heart of a Liar Is Far Removed from the Truth..

Ibnul-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

Beware of falsehood because it spoils your natural ability to gain information, and it spoils your information and your ability to teach people. The liar describes that which does not exist, and that which exists he says it does not exist just as he describes truth as falsehood and falsehood as truth, and good as evil and evil as good. It spoils his conception and his knowledge, which then becomes a punishment. Then he describes what is not true to the person who trusts him. The heart of a liar is far removed from the truth, and is inclined to that which does not exist and he prefers falsehood. When his ability to perceive has been spoiled as well as his knowledge, which is the basis of every voluntary deed, these deeds would also be spoiled and the principle of falsehood would come into force.

واحذر أيها الأب الغيور من الذهاب بأسرتك إلى الملاهي المختلطة، والشواطئ والمنتزهات التي تظهر فيها المنكرات

"Beware, O' Jealous father, from going with your family to free-mixing amusement parks and recreational beaches which have evils apparent in them."

Sheikh ibn al-Uthaimeen رحمه الله

Question: Many Parents go with their children to what is called Children’s amusement parks. In it are oppositions to the Shari'ah, such as some women displaying their bodies. The children are severely eager to go to these amusement parks. So what is the legislated ruling on going there?

Answer: “These amusement parks, as our questioner mentioned, have in them evils. So if a place has evils, then if a person is able to remove these evils it is obligatory upon him to attend to remove them. As for if he is unable, then it is haraam upon him to attend. So now we say: Take your children to the open land and that will suffice.

Question: What is the ruling on praying with socks which emit a foul smell?

Answer: By Allaah, if there is a foul smell, then what is more deserving is to remove them. This is because the congregants will be harmed by this harmful smell and even you will be harmed. If there is a foul smell, then removing them is better and you should wash your hands.

It was said to Imaam al-Shaafi’i (may Allaah have mercy on him):

Which is better, patience or tests or prevailing?
He said: Prevailing is the level attained by the Prophets, & there can be no prevailing except after trials. If a person is tried he will become patient, & if he remains patient he will prevail.

Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله  said:

Many Jews and Christians contemplated joining Islaam, but Iblees convinced them to procrastinate saying: “Do not rush, look more into the issue,” until they die as non-Muslims.

He also causes the sinner to procrastinate seeking repentance.

A poet said:

“Do not rush into committing a sin, and then procrastinate repenting.”

Imaam as-Sa’dee (رحمه الله) said:

Certainly, a person will have companions and contemporaries with whom he associates, and with whom he spends a lot of his time. Therefore, seize the opportunity in accompanying the best of the people in whose company there is not an absence of knowledge to be learnt, an advice to be benefitted from or pre-occupation with that which draws one closer to Allaah. The least (acquired in their company) is that you will be safeguarded from being held responsible in speech and action; alongside being safeguarded from being ridiculed, slandered and backbitten whether you are present or absent. There is also that great benefit of your heart’s desire for good being increased and cultivated, and the urge towards evil is either weakened or made to vanish.

Sheikhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:

Shaitaan wants mankind to be excessive and wasteful in all his matters. Indeed, if the Shaitaan sees him inclining towards mercy excessively, then the Shaitaan beautifies mercy so much so that the human does not hate that which Allaah hates, nor is he protective over that which Allaah is protective.

“Say to the Râfidah: Indeed it is shirk to call upon other than Allaah…”

Allaah سُبحانه وتعالى said:

'And they (Arab pagans) wonder that a warner (Prophet Muhammad) has come to them from among themselves! And the disbelievers say: “This (Prophet Muhammad) is a sorcerer, a liar. Has he made the aaliha (gods) (all) into One Ilaah (God – Allaah). Verily, this is a curious thing!”'
