What is the Life of this World?

(In the Light of Qur'aan)

 

"What is the life of this world but play and amusement? But best is the home in the Hereafter, for those who are righteous.

Will you not then understand?"

          {Surah Al-An’am 6:32}

 

 

"The likeness of the life of the present is as the rain which We send down from the skies: by its mingling arises the produce of the earth- which provides food for men and animals:

(It grows) till the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is decked out (in beauty): the people to whom it belongs think they have all powers of disposal over it: There reaches it Our command by night or by day, and We make it like a harvest clean-mown, as if it had not flourished only the day before! thus do We explain the Signs in detail for those who reflect."

{Surah Yunus 10:24}

 

 

"Those who desire the life of the present and its glitter, to them we shall pay (the price of) their deeds therein,- without diminution."

 

"They are those for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but the Fire: vain are the designs they frame therein, and of no effect and the deeds that they do!"

{Surah Hud 11:15-16}
