Islaamic perspective during an Epidemic

Naseeha by: Umm Hyatt حفظها الله

Suhaib reported that Allaah's Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم said: Strange are the ways of a believer, for there is good in every affair of his and this is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer... for if he was blessed with delight and goodness that which brought him pleasure, he is thankful - thus there is good for him in it....

....and when he is tested with difficulty, hardship and affliction and shows resignation (i.e. endures it patiently while expecting a reward from Allaah سبحانه و تعالى)... then there is good for him in it! And this affair is only for the believer!!

📌 *Benefits from the hadeeth*

The true believer is always in the blessings of His Caretaker, Allaah سبحانه و تعالى, whether he was granted that which he loves or afficted with that which he disliked.

Both of which are trials -- the good and the evil....

{ *We test you with Good and Evil as a Trial, and to Us you will return*}

But were the believer to show patience and endurance during periods of hardship and gratitude, during times of pleasure, he would be rewarded, during both forms of Trials.
🖊️(Sheikh ul-Islaam رحمه الله تعالى)

Its for the believer when he is tested with trials -- (times of heightened fear) to remember and reflect upon this Hadeeth, knowing with certainty that this is Allaah's decree and desire of Goodness for the believer.

Ilnesses as far as the believer is concerned is a form of Mercy. So, in actuality, Allaah wants good for the Believer.

Allaah سبحانه و تعالى wants good for him in order that his sins be removed by way of his difficulties and pain.

🍃These afflictions, hardships and trials for the Believer is not a punishment --- but it is good since it removes his sins. It is a form of purification for him. It removes the sins of the Believer as a tree sheds its leaves on a windy day as comes in the Hadeeth.

This is a small reminder for myself and then to you.

This is a time to strengthen our belief, certainty, trust and dependence upon Allaah سبحانه و تعالى and to strengthen our Tawakal.

Superiority of Faith (belief) of the Believer should be more obvious during these days. The Believer should not show weakness and fear during these times of trials & tribulations. He should rather turn to his Caretaker, his Owner, his Organizer .... the One to Whom everything belongs and to the One Whom everything will return.
صلى الله على نبينا محمد
