Difference between the Believer & the one who turns away from Eemaan

Shaykhul-Islaam Ibnul Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (Rahimahullaah) stated:

“Whoever believes in the messengers & obeys them, their enemies display enmity towards him & harm him. Therefore he (the believer) is tested by that which hurts him. If the person doesn’t believe in them & he doesn’t obey them, he is punished in the life of this world & in the hereafter. Therefore that which hurts him comes about. And that which hurts him is the greatest of pain & more lasting than the pain that befalls the followers of the Messengers. Therefore it is a must that that one goes through

Tell us what thunder is???

On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: Jews came to Allaah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) & said: Tell us what thunder is?
He replied: It is an angel from Allaah's angels that is set over clouds & in whose hands is a mikhraaq (1) by which he drives clouds away, directing them where Allaah commands him.
They said: And what is that sound (of thunder) that we hear?
He said: It is the sound of his voice.
They said: You have spoken rightly.

Declared Hasan (i.e. agreeable) by Al-Albani in his Silsilat Al-Ahadeeth As-Sahihah (vol.4, p: 491)

The Path to reach Allaah (azzawajal) is One..

"This is because the path to reach Allaah is ONE & it is the way that His Messenger was sent with & the path that He revealed His Book with, & none is able to reach Him except by this path. Even if a person tried to reach Him by all paths & try to open all doors, they will find that the paths are blocked & the doors are closed except the one path which is connected to Allaah & reaches Him."..

O son of Aadam place your foot on your earth...

 

Al-Hasan (rahimahullaah) said:

“O son of Aadam place your foot on your earth, & know that it will be your grave after a short while.”

When there is money in your hand ..

 

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said:

”When there is money in your hand & not in your heart, it will not harm you even if it is a lot; & when it is in your heart, it will harm you even if there is none in your hands.”

"Everything has something staining it, & the stain of Scared Knowledge is covetousness (ie. wealth, fame)."

Khushu Affects Heart & Limbs

 One of the Salaf saw a man fidgeting in his prayer & remarked:

“If the heart of this person was humble, so too would his limbs be.”

(Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali, The Humility in Prayer - pg 19)

The believer is like a pearl …

Imaam Maalik (rahimahullaah) said:

The believer is like a pearl; wherever he is, his beautiful (qualities) are with him.
