Know that there are
certain manners to fasting that one must abide by and adhere to so that the
fast could proceed in the way it was prescribed so that one could achieve its
benefits, fulfill its objective and not find it discomforting and without benefit.
This is as the Prophet (sallAllaahu
‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Perhaps all a person fasting derives from his fast is
hunger and thirst.”
Authentic Islaamic material based upon the Qur'aan & Sunnah as understood by the Salaf-us-Saalih (Pious Predecessors) from the corner of a Salafi Home... Sheikh Muqbil رحمه الله said: "Fear الله and teach your families, teach your sons & daughters. How wonderful is the home in which its people are upon the sunnah."

Avoid Mutual Enmity, Grudges & Malice In the Month of Ramadhan
Allâh’s Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi
wa sallam) said:
“The
gates of Paradise are opened on Mondays & Thursdays, & then every
servant (of Allâh) is granted forgiveness if he does not associate anything
with Allâh in worship. But the person in whose heart there is rancour against
his (Muslim) brother, they will not be pardoned. It will be said about them
“Hold both of them until they reconcile with each other.”

Having Pleasant Speech - Al-Hafidh Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali
Allaah has described the people of Jannah as those who treat the creation well by means of their good deeds and wealth, and they are patient when harmed. He said, “And hasten forth to forgiveness from your Lord, for Jannah is as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the pious. Those who spend in prosperity and in adversity, who repress anger, and who pardon people; verily Allah loves Al-Muhsinun (the good-doers).”
(Aali Imraan 3:133-134)
Spending in
prosperity and in adversity with one’s wealth implies the highest level of
doing good. Repressing anger and pardoning people means that one does not
reciprocate evil with evil, which entails that one must have pleasant speech
and avoid ill-mannerism when it is permissible, thus He says, “Verily Allah
loves Al-Muhsinun.”
Will the People of Paradise Sleep?
Sheikh ‘Abdul ‘Azeez ibn ‘Abdullaah ar-Rajhi
Question: May
Allaah forgive you. Will the People of Paradise sleep? And what is the meaning
of His saying, the Most High: “the best abode, and have the fairest of places
for repose”? [1]
Answer: No.
No they will not sleep. Sleep is the brother of death. And in Jannah there is
neither sleep nor death. There is no illness nor old age. There are no worries,
no sadness nor anguish. There is no urine, no excrement nor any bad smells. And
for the women, no menstruation nor postpartum bleeding.

Who wants to see their Lord in the Hereafter?
“…So
whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness &
associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord.”
(Al-Kahf:110)
“Whoever wants to see their Lord in the hereafter, then let
him do good deeds and Not tell anyone.”
Welcoming our guest of Barakaah (Blessings)!
And soon we will be welcoming a NOBLE GUEST, a guest of mercy and
blessings. One full year has passed since his last visit.
He was your guest for 30 days and again, he is
at our doorstep waiting for you to open the door so he may fill your homes with
blessings and favours of Allaah. He is yours, mine & all Muslims’ guest
& we ask Allaah subhaanahu wa ta3alaa to enable us to behave well during
his stay and to bless us to take advantage of his presence.
It is well known that the more you love your
guest, the more you prepare
yourself to welcome him; the more you respect your guest, the more
things you plan to entertain him or to make his visit most comfortable. And if
that guest happens to be someone from among our close relatives coming from
overseas, then we plan way ahead before his arrival:
we paint our houses, we redesign our living rooms and his name is on every lip.
And if that guest is generous and is known to bring precious gifts for all
family members, then that makes him a super guest. And we
impatiently look forward to his generous gifts.
What is the Best way of asking Allaah for Forgiveness?
‘O Allaah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You,
You created me and I am You servant and I abide to Your covenant and promise as
best I can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I committed. I
acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for
verily none can forgive sin except You.’
The Mannerisms of Suhoor & The One Eating The Sahoor
· Sincerity of the intentions
· Saying Bismillaah when one is about to eat, eating with the
right hand and eating from that which is closer to you. Based upon the Hadeeth
Umar ibn Abee Salamah.
· Gathering together upon the food. Indeed in that there’s a
blessing.
· Not being wasteful in the meal and praising Allaah for it.
· The the meal is from lawful wealth. Indeed it is stronger
for the (carrying out) the act of worship. Indeed Allaah is good and He only
accepts that which is good.
· Having concern for the (proper) time (regarding the Suhoor)
