What ash-Sheikh al-Albaani said about himself after he turned 84 years..

Animated wallpaper, screensaver 240x320 for cellphone

In Saheeh Mawaarid al-Dhamaan (2087) – The hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (رضي اللّه عنـه) who said, “The Messenger of Allaah (صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم) said, “The lifespan of (the people from) my Ummah is between sixty to seventy years and few will go beyond that.”  Ibn ‘Arafah said, “And I am from those few.”

So the Sheikh (رحمه الله) commented by saying:

I say: I am also from amongst those few, since I have passed eighty four. I ask the Lord, the One free from all imperfections and the Most High, to make me amongst those whose life span is prolonged and their actions are beautified.

But even then, sometimes I nearly wish for death due to what has afflicted the Muslims from deviations in their deen, and the humiliation that has befallen them from the lowest of mankind. But Allaah forbid, and the hadeeth of Anas is before me. So it is not suitable for me to say anything except that which my Prophet (صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم) has ordered me with, “O Allaah keep me alive as long as life is good for me and take my life if that is good for me.”

And I supplicate with that which my Prophet (صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم) has taught me, “O Allaah provide us with the provision of our hearing, and our sight, and our strength as long as we are alive and make it a legacy from us.”

Matrimony At An Early Age And Its Benefits – By Sheikh Saleh al Fawzaan

As for the saying that, getting married at an early age diverts from gaining knowledge and from studying, this is not the case. Rather, the opposite of this is correct because tranquility, peace of mind, and pleasure never cease to be obtained through marriage. These things help the student to reach his goal because, he has peace of mind, and his thoughts are not cluttered due to discomfort and this helps him study.

Now on the other hand abstaining from marriage in reality blocks whatever knowledge he wants to attain, because it is not possible to acquire knowledge in a state of confusion and anxiety. However, if he gets married, his mind is at rest and his soul is at ease. He gets a house to take as a shelter and a wife who relaxes and helps him. These things help him to attain knowledge.

The Advice of One from the Salaf to His Son

Al-Haafidh Abu Haatim Muhammad ibn Hibbaan said:

Mohammad ibn al-Mundhir ibn Sa’eed related to me that Abu Haatim Muhammad ibn Idrees al-Hanthalee said that al-Khattaab ibn al-Ma’laa al-Makhzumee al-Qurashee advised his son saying:

My son, fear Allaah and be obedient to Him. Avoid sinning by following His Sunnah and teachings in order to rectify your faults and attain bliss; indeed nothing whatsoever is hidden from Allaah.

I put some directions together and drew out a plan for you. If you memorize, understand and act upon them, you would fill the eyes of kings and even the vagabond would be obedient to you. You would continue to be needed and honoured, people would continue to be in need of what you possess. So obey your father, suffice yourself with his advice and open your mind and heart to it.

Beware of excessive talking, joking, laughing and fooling around with brothers; indeed this removes respect/esteem and causes disputes. It is upon you to be tranquil and calm without having pride, which may be attributed to you, and without being arrogant, which may be said about you. Treat both friends and enemies pleasantly; prevent their harms without belittling them or holding them in high regard.

A few consequences of sinning/disobeying Allāh.

How your kids treat you in your old age depends on how you have raised them❗

Sheikh Uthaimeen رحمه الله:

If they are disobedient to Allaah سبحانه وتعالى now, they will be disobedient to you when you most need them.
“O Muslims! Don’t you fear of this responsibility?
Don’t you fear that (how) you end up (in your old age) depends on how you have raised your children?
When you DON'T discipline them, they will grow up being disobedient to you – a fitting recompense!

Benefits of Black Musk

On the authority of Abu Saeed رضي الله عنه that the Messenger () said:

'The BEST of fragrances/scents is Musk.'
(Muslim)

Imaam an-Nawawi رحمه الله said in his explanation of this hadeeth: 'It is the BEST of scents and the most preferred!  It is pure and permissible to use on the body and clothing, and also to sell it.' -- (This is a general consensus on that which was mentioned previously.)

Ibnul Qayyim رحمه الله stated in 'At-Tib An-Nabawiyyah':
"Musk is the King of perfumes. It has the BEST Aroma. Other perfumes are usually compared to Musk, but Musk is NEVER compared to other perfumes! Also the hills and the sands of paradise are made of musk.”

Musk is a hot dry substance of the second degree. It brings comfort and joy to the heart, whilst also strengthening the inner organs when it is drunk or smelt. Musk brings strength and comfort to the external organs when rubbed with it. Musk is profitable for old people and those who have excessive skin moisture especially during winter. It also helps against fainting, shaking and general weaknesses in the body....

The Dangers of Smart Phones & Social Networking

By: Sheikh Saleh al-Fawzaan حفظه الله

O mankind… Know that from the greatest of hindrances preventing you from being upright are trials and tribulations that block you from the path of Allaah and cause you to fall into misguidance.
How great in number they are in this time, and how numerous are the callers calling to them through their writings, through their tweets on Twitter and those things like it – through the various means of communication that are widespread among the people and have filled their homes.
How numerous are those that go astray because of these evil channels.
So be weary of them, O slaves of Allaah.
Be cautious of them and don’t look into them.  Don’t bring them into your homes.  Don’t leave them with your children and your wives because they are what hinder from the religion and from the path of Allaah, and divert them from being upright and cause them to fall into deviation and misguidance.
