Authentic Islaamic material based upon the Qur'aan & Sunnah as understood by the Salaf-us-Saalih (Pious Predecessors) from the corner of a Salafi Home... Sheikh Muqbil رحمه الله said: "Fear الله and teach your families, teach your sons & daughters. How wonderful is the home in which its people are upon the sunnah."

Is The Witr Prayer Different Than The Night Prayer?
Sheikh ibn Baaz (May Allaah have mercy upon him) was asked:
Is the Witr prayer different than the night
prayer in terms of it’s timing, the duaa that is made in the two prayers, as
well as the number of units of prayer that is made in it?
His Reply was:
The Witr prayer is part of the night prayer. It
is from the Sunnah and something that is recommended to do. It is the
way in which the night prayer should be completed or finished. The
Witr prayer is one unit of prayer, in which you end the night prayer.
This is done either at the end of the night, in the middle of the night or even
in the beginning of the night after the Isha prayer.
A man kissing and touching his wife while fasting.
Sheikh Ibn Baaz (may Allah have mercy upon
him) was asked:
“If a man kisses his
wife during the day of Ramadhan or plays around with her, does this
nullify his fast or not?"
Backbiting,Slandering, Cursing, etc while fasting…
Sheikh Bin Baaz was asked: “Does backbiting someone break
ones fast during Ramadan?”
His reply was: “Backbiting does not break ones fast. It is to
mention about someone that which they would not like. It is a form of
disobedience. We know this because of the statement of Allah
{وَلَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُكُم بَعْضًا}
{… neither backbite one another …}
[Al Hujuraat : 12]
Like this is slandering, cursing, swearing and
lying. None of these things break someones fast. They are though, disobedience.

Let Him Prefer Allaah to His Desires
Whosoever desires to purify his heart, then let
him prefer Allaah to his desires!
The heart which is
clinging to its desires is veiled from Allaah, commensurate to the degree that
it is attached to them, the hearts are the vessels of Allaah upon his earth,
hence the most beloved of them to him, are the ones most compassionate, pure and
resistant to deviation. They (the transgressors) preoccupied their hearts [in
the pursuance] of the Dunya, would that they preoccupied them with Allaah and
the hereafter, then surely they would have reflected upon the intended meaning
of his poignant words and verses.
Increase of Provision through Forgiveness - 3
It is narrated from Abi Saeed Al-Khudri that the
Messenger of Allaah صلّى اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said:
‘ Subhanaka-Allahuma wabihamdika laa ilaaha illaa anta
astaghfiruka wa atooboo ilaika’
(‘Far are You O Allaah from imperfection, & You have all praise, there is none worthy of worship in truth except You, I seek forgiveness from You & I repent to You),
then this reward is written in a parchment and it is stamped with a seal and no falsehood can break it until the Day of Judgment.’
(‘Far are You O Allaah from imperfection, & You have all praise, there is none worthy of worship in truth except You, I seek forgiveness from You & I repent to You),
then this reward is written in a parchment and it is stamped with a seal and no falsehood can break it until the Day of Judgment.’

“Women seeking Knowledge”
Shaykhah Umm Salamah bint ‘Alee asSalafiyyah (Dammaj, Yemen)
Only one of these many proofs is sufficient for the ruling that the following statement is false: “Reading and writing are not for women, they are for us. And for them from us is that they are the origin of impurity.”
It
is also false when someone says that it is an innovation that women seek
knowledge in the Masaajid. Rather, I am amazed that the one who says this would
prevent his wife from going to the Houses of Allaah to seek knowledge yet at
the same time he allows her to go from house to house and from shop to shop!
The Prophet صلّى
اللَّهُ عليه وسلّم said: “Do not prevent the slaves of
Allaah from the Houses of Allaah.” - Al Hadeeth
Knowledge protects you
“That he who has knowledge does not become tired in protecting it.
This is because, if Allaah bestows knowledge upon you, then its place is in the heart and there is no need for containers or keys or the like.
It
is protected in the heart and soul, and in time itself it is a
protector for you, because it protects you from danger, with Allaah’s
permission.
So
knowledge protects you, whilst with property, you protect it by placing
it in locked up containers, and despite all this, you still remain
insecure about it.”

“O you who sold yourself' - Imaam ibnul-Qayyim
“O you who sold yourself for the sake of
something that will cause you suffering and pain, and which will also lose its
beauty, you sold the most precious item for the cheapest price, as if you
neither knew the value of the goods nor the meanness of the price. Wait until
you come to the Day of mutual loss and gain and you will discover the injustice
of this contract. ‘There is no deity worthy of worship in truth except for Allaah’ is
something that Allaah is buying. Its price is Paradise, and the Messenger is its agent, and
you will be pleased to part with a small part of this worldly life to obtain
it. The part you lose
is a small part of something that as a whole is not worth a mosquito’s wing.”
